Notre Dame High School in West Haven is seeking an enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge to join our Science faculty in teaching courses in our Technology, Engineering, and Design program. The teacher will guide and inspire students through courses such as aerospace and flight science, software engineering and app development, and electrical and mechanical engineering designed to promote an understanding of the various fields in engineering and impart critical 21st century skills. Project-based, student-centered strategies and pedagogy in the classroom will be employed in these courses. This position will also entail communicating with and integrating aspects of the engineering design process in other subject areas of the school. Previous experience teaching high school engineering students is preferred but nor required.
