Tree Amigos is looking for an experienced climber with the capability of leading a crew in the near future. If you are highly experienced, knowledgeable and committed to a high standard of tree care, then we would like to meet you! At this time we are fairly well staffed and are only interested in applicants who really tick all the boxes. We are looking for someone with large technical removal experience who is comfortable blocking out stems on spurs. This is not the only kind of work that will be required but there are a lot of dead trees this year after winter storm Uri and we want someone capable of taking them down. Job Duties: Supervise tree crew while performing residential and commercial tree pruning and removals in accordance with ANSI and company standards. Possess the necessary rigging and lowering skills to perform tree pruning and removals safely. Perform supplemental support (cabling and bracing) techniques and methods in accordance to ANSI standards. Must be familiar with industry safety standards and procedures and be willing to enforce these standards as well as company safety policies. Must be willing to accept and be responsible for daily production goals and safety procedures of the crew. Coordinate with the Sales Arborist prior to performing work. Qualifications: Prior experience leading and training a tree crew in a safe and productive manner. Large technical removal experience. ISA Certification is helpful but not required. A valid Tx Driver's License is required. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Must speak fluent English. Can identify and communicate to the property owner changes in job scope. Must be skilled at tree identification and ideally knowledgeable about local species. Basic mechanical knowledge a plus. Compensation: We do not offer paid time off, healthcare or any other benefits at this time, instead preferring to offer high wages to give employees the maximum amount of choice. We will offer $30/hr to a candidate with the right skills, qualifications, and work ethic. About Us: We are a small (but growing!) tree service located in Cedar Park, Tx and operating throughout central Tx from Georgetown to Buda and occasionally further. We have a strong team of experienced and knowledgeable arborists with a commitment to a very high standard of tree care. We currently offer pruning, removal, stump grinding, and cabling services as well as root work services using an air spade, planting and some targeted pest treatments and plan to expand our services further over the coming years.
