Downtown San Jose based landscape company seeks experienced landscape maintenance and landscape installation employees. Both positions require someone with a clean DMV record and who can drive a company truck with a trailer. Candidate must have at least 4 years experience working as a full time landscaper. Must read and write in English.
Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Be on their feet all day, and have the ability to spend much of the day being very active.
Both are full time potions
Maintenance:
TOP PAY FOR QUALIFIED CREW LEADERS WITH VALID CA DRIVER'S LICENSE
Proficient in the use of following tools and equipment; post pounder, pole pruner, ladder, wheel grinder and file, large walk-behind mowers (21" & 36”), gas hedge trimmer, and line trimmers.
Stake and guy trees
Knowledge of basic irrigation repairs and automatic timers
Installation:
Experience in project demolition.
Proficient use of rototiller and other basic machinery.
Lateral irrigation lines construction/installation under supervision of foreman.
Basic dry stack stone wall installation.
Basic dry set flagstone work.
Assist with lawn area grading/ sod installation.
Planting & fertilizing
Drip line/ emitter layout and install under supervision of foreman.
Mulch installation incl. detailing around plants.
Assist with daily worksheets.
Check fluid levels and monitor safe operation of equipment used.
Basic low voltage landscape lighting installation experience helpful
Salary based on knowledge/experience.
