Foreign Language Services Simulation, LLC. (FLSS) is currently looking for talented individuals for several OPFOR role player/actor positions. These individuals are essential to realism and interaction during military and first responder training events. You can be part of this great opportunity by providing a helpful resource to ensure those that protect us are prepared to do so. Military or law enforcement experience is a plus. Positions are available and the contract has been awarded. Location In and around Pittsburgh, PA Workdays • 8 June – 17 June, 2021 Week1 o Tuesday June 8th: 0900 – 1700 (9AM – 5PM) o Wednesday June 9th:0900 – 1700 (9AM – 5PM) o Thursday June 10th:0900 – 1700 (9AM – 5PM) o Friday June 11th:0900 – 1700 (9AM – 5PM) Week2 o Monday June 14th:1700 – 0200 (5PM – 2AM) o Tuesday June 15th:1700 – 0200 (5PM – 2AM) o Wednesday June 16th:1700 – 0200 (5PM – 2AM) o Thursday June 17th:1700 – 0200 (5PM – 2AM) • Must be available over the weekend as weather /alternate day • compensation is $17 per hour worked. • Pay will be in full on June 18 Duties include, but are not limited to: • Following scenario-based training and instructions to assist soldiers in creating a realistic environment that they would encounter while on mission • Scenarios include real life situations, including opposition forces and realistic responses • Work for up to nine “in-field” hours per day • Remain onsite and maintain pattern of life • Remain in attire and in character for the duration of the training exercises • Role players play a vital role in preparing the soldiers for their success • Take direction and execute specific directions from managers on site • Opportunities available for male and female role players • For the ladies, military or law enforcement experience is a plus, but not required. Knowledge of the weapons is mandatory. Qualifications • Priority hire for military and law enforcement • Must be a U.S. citizen • Able to work up to 9 hours • Must be able to operate simmunition capable M4s, AK-47 and 9mm pistols. • Will be exposed to blank and/or simmunition marking rounds (protective equipment is provided) • Physically capable of working in multiple weather conditions and be able to climb at least 10 flights of stairs • Must be able to work in damp or cramped locations • Wear tactical vests and helmets • Have tactical skills experience • Cooperative and able to follow specific instructions • Excellent communication skills • Be able to work as part of a team • Applicants must live within travel distance to Pittsburgh, PA as travel and lodging will not be provided.
