Caretaker Position for Couple - Boothbay Area

We are looking for a couple to be caretakers of our home in coastal Maine year round. Living on the property year round is required. Most work will be during the summer months. JOB DESCRIPTION* Owners and their guests are present during summer season and rarely the remainder of the year. Accordingly, during the summer season (May 15 - September 15) there is daily work (except for day off). During the off-season, maintain and upkeep as necessary. Outside: Maintenance of house, property, dock, etc., including, but not limited to: Lawn and garden care General handiwork Light electrical and plumbing Cleaning/light maintenance of small boats and watercraft Scheduling and overseeing work performed by outside labor Errands Inside: Daily cleaning of house, including, but not limited to: Thorough dusting, vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, etc. Laundry Beds Tidying Grocery and household item shopping/misc. errands Empty dishwasher/clean and store kitchen dishes Light cooking APPLICANT CRITERIA Trustworthy, diligent, conscientious and responsible. Enjoys being around people and hospitality. Eye for detail. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Physically able to handle demands of job. Seeking multi-year commitment Compensation Year-round cottage on beautiful coastal property-suitable in size for couple or couple with small child. $400/week (for couple) during summer season. Employment subject to background check, drug testing, and employment eligibility verification. Ideal for a teacher(s) who have summer off. Must have credible recommendations. Start date in Spring.
