This is kind of the opposite of a "Rhythm Section Want Ad" - "Rhythm Section ISO," perhaps?
We're a bass player and drummer from a previous band doing 90s and 2000s covers. That band kind of fell apart due to Covid (2020 struck again).
We'd like to reform the band, but with a focus solely on 90s hit pop/alternative rock covers. Pull up any "90s hits" playlist, pick the songs you like, and we'll do them. We know a few already and can get you a list.
You are pro/semi-pro level talent. You're mature at any age (20s, 30s, 40s, and beyond!), any race, any gender, any preference. You have equipment and reliable transportation. You are punctual. You are not a wino or on drugs, pills, whatever, please.
We're looking for:
* A good vocalist and excellent front-person who can work the crowd (but doesn't tell jokes that are _too_ inappropriate).
* A guitarist, maybe 2 (lead, rhythm?)
* Or a keyboard player (lead, rhythm, efx?)
* More vocalists? Background vocals? (We can both do BVGs)
* Horns? Maybe? That style was guitar heavy but we can figure something out.
We would like to do paid gigs regularly on the weekends/non-school nights, about 4 times a month, maybe more, maybe less, depending. Bars, clubs, parties, etc. Weddings? Maybe. Who knows. Durham, Raleigh, potentially Charlotte area and points in between.
We have rehearsal space at the drummer's house w/ understanding neighbors in Durham. Practice would likely be day times on the weekends.
Any comments? Questions? Concerns? Emotional outbursts?
Please send audio/video samples if you've got them.
Email or Text, please. I don't answer my phone.
