tRump never had an approval rating above 50%. Republicans down ballot won on the same ballots, with the same machines as tRump. Recount after recount. Audit after audit. Failed court case after failed court case. Republican election officials, Attorney's General and Governors. tRump's Attorney General, Bill Barr and the DOJ. The electoral vote was certified in every state, that includes Red States. One of tRump's attorneys admitted she was lying about voter fruad and that no one should take her seriously. We still have the mentally ill who, with all that evidence, despite all the facts, continue to believe the election was fraudulent. This is what this nation has turned into, nut jobs who no longer listen to logic, facts, reason, common sense or reality, opting instead to search the internet for any and all conspiracy theorists who tell them what they want to hear rather than the truth. We all saw Derek Chauvin kneel on a mans neck for 9 minutes and 29 seconds while 2 other officers held him down while his hands were tied behind his back. We saw the paramedics find no pulse while Chauvin STILL refused to let up. We saw a first, a parade of law enforcement officials and experts testify that Chauvin was guilty. We still have the mentally ill who believe the only reason the jurors found Chauvin guilty was due to the protests, that they were afraid not to. Once again, we have nut jobs who prefer baseless, outrageous conspiracy theories to what their own eyes and ears tell them. Millions and millions of people have received the COVID vaccines, a fraction of a fraction of a percentage of recipients have had adverse reactions that may or may not have been caused by the vaccine itself. The odds of being killed in an auto accident, shot with a gun, even getting hit by lightning are far higher than dying from the vaccine yet the number of mentally ill who refuse to get a vaccine continues grow in this nation. These nitwits listen to people like Ted Nugent who claimed the virus was a hoax, then said he was never sicker in his life and even thought he was going to die when he got it. With the creation of the internet, we also created a mob of low IQ nitwits who now have the ability to search out other nut jobs who believe in the nuttiest conspiracy theories, believing that if they can find others just as mentally unstable as themselves, this somehow validates their delusions. 4chan, 8chan, Qanon, etc., now we have an actual "movement" of those who are so ignorant of actual science, they buy into pseudo science to believe the Earth is flat. That Democrats are pedophiles who kill children to drink their blood. The entire news media is "fake news". That tRump was sent by God to save the country. That Climate Change is a hoax. Conspiracy theories are simply a way for stupid people to feel they are smart. They believe things they find through algorithms that target their very stupidity, puts them into some exclusive club, that they are an elite group privy to secret information that no one else can see or understand. They don't realize they are being played for fools, indoctrinated into cults and being exploited as useful idiots. Why they call it "common sense" when it's anything BUT common, is unknown. Too many these days prefer fantasy over reality. Wishful thinking over reason. Their own prejudices over logic. Conspiracy theories over science. Party loyalty over right and wrong. It's a sad state of affairs in this country, we need to invest heavily in our school systems. Too many graduate wanting to be told what to think rather than how to think. They have no knowledge of epistemology, they can't tell fact from fiction. They need to learn how to spot brainwashing, demagoguery and scams. Education should start in the home but too many have parents who have taught them that hate and fear should drive their views rather than facts and evidence. We saw on January 6th, just how close we are to losing the democracy our ancestors fought and died for. The Civil war that was won over 150 years ago, is still not over. Nut jobs don't even believe the health and safety of others should be any of their concern and that laws to protect others infringe on their own rights and liberties. We are a divided country and it could very well be the end to this nation as we know it. If we continue to allow tabloid journalism, lies, propaganda and conspiracy theories to go unchecked, the numbers of uneducated slobs who can't tell what's true and what's not will only add to the vast number who already live in an alternative reality.
