Old Sacramento (gov) Another law !!!!HaHaHa Boaters License??? Is it really needed, who is going to enforce it? The US Coast Guard? To 90% of you this means nothing, you don't have a boat don't want a boat, (they cost money) way more then they are worth. There are 35K boats in Registered in California a boaters license is going to cost $10 (Now) but you and I both know the fee will go up, we must pay for the politicians. Oh they say it's for safety (really) How many boat deaths do you read about? Sure boat accidents and deaths do happen but does having a automobile license stop accidents, NO. people that live around the water, are a different type of person I've never lived aboard a boat\ship, but I spend over 30 years sailing in all types of ships, so I know boaters. If the (State) wants boaters to get license's then let the license be FREE... see how that sits in Sacramento, you know they do nothing for FREE..
