"Owning My Story". Using art as a medium to express the stories behind our girls in Foster Care and Residential Programs. Steadfast Mentoring is a Christ based organization serving the young women in our Tampa Bay area and abroad who have suffered from overwhelming circumstances resulting in their placement in Foster Care group homes or Residential Centers. The girls have participated in sharing their stories through using art as a way and means towards healing. Brene Brown says "Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we'll ever do." Please join us celebrating these amazing, brave girls as they tell us "their stories". Where: The Carrollwood Cultural Center When: During the month of May 2021 Hours of Operation: Mon. through Fri. 9:00am - 6:00pm; Sat. 9:00 am - noon Opening Art Reception: May 14th, 2021 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. **Due to Covid restictions space will be limited to 40 people at a time. Masks are required. PLEASE RSVP for the Opening Art Reception in advance to ensure space availability.
