Queen Charlotte’s 1st Annual Ball is a fundraising event in honor of the late Queen Sophia of Mecklenburg on her date of birth May 19,1744. Join us as we pay royal hommage to the late Queen Sophia Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. Learn the history of the face behind the Queen City and witness how we tie our love of the arts into honoring a royal who cared about the arts as much as we do. Her life and legacy is one to be admired and a story to be told; which is why the founder of Socialite Charlotte’s events organization, sought purpose to shed light on the one of a kind Queen featured in the hit Netflix series Bridgerton. A portion of proceeds will go directly to the organizations we are benefitting as well as any revenue generated during purchases at the event. Guests can expect to see and buy local art, handmade candles, souvenirs and other unique Charlotte memorabilia topped with a fashion show presented by Charlotte’s own couture designer Luis Machicao.
