The PARC Summer Camp for Autism aims to provide a safe space for autistic children to engage in activities for summer camp with professional staff and volunteers familiar with autism.
The vision for the PARC Summer Camp for Autism is to give autistic children the opportunity to play safely with a staff that is aware of their abilities and needs. We will have activities supported by Board Certified Behavior Analysts and Registered Behavioral Technicians. We want to give the children support in learning social skills and participating in activities.
Camp activities would include soccer, basketball, yoga, kickball, field games and crafts. The activities will encourage participation at any skill level. The goal is to be safe and have fun!
All participants will be required to wear a mask pursuant to CDC Covid-19 guidelines unless they have proof of a negative Covid-19 test. Children ages 5-11 must be toilette trained. Each participant will be required to have a physical examination and must be able to engage in strenuous activities.
The camp will have access to bathrooms, a playground, a gym and outdoor activities.
