Fairfield Day: Juneteenth Weekend Meet & Greet All proceeds will go towards making improvements to Willie Mays Park. Join us as we kick off the Fairfield Day: Juneteenth Celebration The Birmingham Mentoring Assistance Network is excited to announce the Fairfield Day: A Juneteenth Celebration. This community event will be held on June 19, 2021 at the Willie Mays Park in Fairfield, Alabama. Fairfield does not have a tourist attraction but is home to one of the greatest ballplayers in Major League history, Willie Mays – “The Say Hey Kid”. This ballpark has the potential to become a venue for family reunions, baseball tournaments, and site to a Willie Mays Museum. The Mentoring Assistance Network mission is to build quality mentoring networks to help Alabama’s youth succeed. Fairfield has been identified as an underserved community with a need for recreational opportunities, expanded health care options, financial literacy and empowerment, and other improvement to the quality of life for young people.
