Entry Level Door Shop / Delivery Driver

Curtis & Sons Door has provided doors, moulding and hardware for the high-end market since 1989 and is looking for a bright, energetic person to join our team. Position will include loading/offloading trucks, checking in materials, basic door preps, cutting trim, making deliveries and assisting in shop where needed. Responsibilities to include: - Basic door prep & jamb assembly - Cutting trim and assembling millwork packages - Loading trucks for out-going deliveries - Making deliveries : unloading doors, millwork, hardware etc. at jobsites as required - Managing paperwork and following procedures for packing slips/shipping tags etc. - Checking trucks daily, performing basic maintenance as required, keeping vehicles clean Requirements: - Minimum experience of 1 yr. driving trucks and being comfortable navigating highways, city streets, narrow roads, and areas with limited access. (i.e. San Francisco, Belvedere) - Valid CA driver’s license and clean DMV record - Ability to lift 100 lbs. - Ability to handle repetitive lifting, and off-loading doors from trucks - Ability to handle doors and carrying them into jobsites without damage - Ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude with our customers - Good written and communication skills (fluency in English is a must) - Good math skills, including fractions and the ability to read a tape measure - Must be able to work overtime as required - Ability to work well independently and in a team environment - Door shop / wood working experience preferred - Use of wood working tools / machinery and forklift is preferred This is a full time position (Mon-Fri, 7:00am to 3:30pm).
