Kona was neglected and left tied to the outside when he was a puppy in China. His owner eventually left him at the vet and never came back. Due to the neglect, he was malnourished and developed skin issues, which is still an ongoing issue for him. He doesn't need meds daily but he does need medicated bath at least once a week. He has poor eye sight in one of his eyes that he can't really see well when going down the stairs but he's able to move just fine in his daily routines and walks.Ko Kona needs to be in a home that doesn't have a lot of visitors coming in and out as too much stuff going on could make him feel uneasy. No kids. He's not the affectionate type of goldens that would want snuggles and kisses but he does get excited when he sees you and wags his tail, he would come up to say hi with his happy nip. He likes to play with toys from time to time but most of the time he likes to just hang out on his dog bed. He's a very smart pup, learns commands very quickly. He loves his daily walks and being outside but he would still need his space and distance away from people he doesn't know as it can make him feel insecure.
