Just prior to the pandemic I started to gear up to bring some musicians together who are lovers of David Berman's work (poetry & lyrics, music), but alas. I am stuck on it again. I think this Fall might be the opening. If you are a fan and can see yourself dedicating some time to working on a plan, collaboratively dreaming up a setlist, and then getting together (rehearsal space?...we'll figure it out) to practice, then, well, what are we waiting for? I am fully vaccinated, fyi. Me: I am a singer, guitarist, and songwriter of a certain age (mid-40's) and I long been a fan of many of the Drag City artists and lived and played in Chicago for a handful of years. I live in Asheville and I perform solo a bit. Reach out if this idea (Silver Jews tribute, not me) makes you, you know, tingle.
