Do you want to open your own Registered Home Daycare? Why not learn from an experienced Daycare Provider? Cindy Hall of Firefly Daycare is accepting mentoring internships for the summer of 2021. Cindy has operated a successful home daycare for 13 years and is looking to train a replacement when she moves on in fall of 2021. Benefits Hands on experience in running a daycare First Aid and Food Handler’s training paid Possible transfer of clients in the fall A lot of Cindy’s daycare equipment and toys transferred to you in the fall Ongoing support from Cindy after you open your own home daycare Help negotiating the Registration process Referrals of clients to you from Cindy’s built-up network. You will probably never have to search for clients. Great, supportive families to work with. Help setting up your home to be a Registered Home Daycare Having you own home daycare has many benefits including Making your own hours and rates Being home with your own children while they are little Playing outside in the summer sun or winter snow The joy and magic of children in your everyday life Internship entails observing and learning at Cindy’s daycare for the summer. It could be one day a week for several hours, or multiple days per week. It is up to you how much experience you’d like to have. Hours are flexible. Possibly room for you to bring one or two children with you. May include paid subbing for Cindy when she has appointments, days off, etc. Qualifications: Must be able to pass a background check Must have a kind demeanor with children Must be physically fit and able to actively play with children Must be willing to learn Must be dependable, punctual, and conduct yourself professionally Some background working with children recommended.
