WHITE PLAINS, NY — Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is returning, so it's time once again to set your culinary sights on all the good food available in White Plain and the rest of the region.
The usually-biannual event will be held from May 10 to May 23. Because of the pandemic, restaurants will be offering pre-fixe menus and their regular menus for both dine-in or take-out meals, The Valley Table announced.
Last year's spring Restaurant Week had to be scrapped when the coronavirus outbreak shut down everything in New York. A pared-down event focusing on take-out took place Nov. 9-22.
Now Mike Martinelli, Today Media's Hudson Valley Group publisher, wants to leave that all behind.
"It will also help us reclaim a part of our lives that has been noticeably absent, the important and critical social fabric that our restaurants bring out in us and our well-being," he said.
So try new restaurants, return to old favorites and support local eateries that operated during the coronavirus pandemic. Participating restaurants in Columbia, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester counties will offer specially priced pre-fixe lunch and dinner menus at $25.95 and $35.95, respectively.
