BERKELEY, CA — The city of Berkeley is looking for input from residents on how to spend money for federally funded services and housing programs for low-income people. The City Council meets Tuesday for a public hearing on the matter. The city must decide how to spend $3.7 million in federal money. Proposed programs include homeless services, housing services and development, and housing and facility rehabilitation. The city will use the feedback received to help prioritize the types of federally funded services and housing needed to meet community needs. Comments will be included in the Annual Action Plan for funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The council meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday on Zoom.
