Funky Hip-Hop drummer looking for something new.

I've been listening to a lot of Neo-soul, and Nu Jazz for the last few years, and it's greatly influenced my drumming. I'm looking to be part of a group that focuses on Hip-Hop, and DJ-ing. (if that's a word.) Think, Robert Grasper Experiment, H.E.R, 9th Wonder, Terrace Martin, Common. I have gotten much more interested in keeping a SOLID groove, and playing behind a DJ, or a singer, or a lyricist. I just like to get audiences heads moving, and really feeling the music that I'm supporting. I live in Santa Cruz. Let me know if you're interested! I'd love to hear some samples of your playing!
