It’s hard to believe but, it’s been almost 5 years since we held our 55th reunion for the Class of ‘61’, St Leo Grammar School. A discussion of the 60th reunion came up the other day when a few of the old (old in the literal sense)reunion committee were having lunch. After the obligatory update of needless operations, replaced body parts, unusual or lack of hair growth and other such talk a few of us commented that a 60th reunion was in order.
A number of suggestions followed to make the next reunion more “attendee friendly”……..here’s what was concluded:
We'll have the event on September 14th. Summer vacations are done, days are still longer and the temperature is comfortable. It will be an afternoon, early evening event, appetizers and cocktails. Any of the group wishing to have dinner can do so at the restaurant or find another location in the neighborhood...there are many.
We'll have it at 115 Bourbon St., 3359 W 115th St. Merrionette Park, IL 60803 They can easily accommodate those that might want to have dinner later in the evening.
We'll make it casual…at 74 y/o nobody’s trying to impress…lol...of course, spouses/SO’s are welcome
Any suggestions? Please send them to us through CL relay.
There is no advance attendance fee, it'll be a cash bar. If you know of any classmates who might be interested in attending, please inform them. Thanks.
