SDS Lumber Company Plywood Division Base Rate: $16.90 >> +$1.00/hr Shift Differential once on Swing Shift Hours: 4:30 pm- 3:00 am Monday-Saturday; and 2:00 pm-10:00pm Saturday Description: To begin with as a New Hire you will receive on the job training on day shift at the starting rate of $16.90 per hour. Once trained on day shift (approx. 2 weeks) worker will be moved to the swing shift and receive a $1.00 shift differential putting you at the rate of $17.90 per hour. The swing shift will be your permanent shift. Initially your job will be feeding the dryers and working on the dryer outfeed pulling sheets of veneer off a track and sorting them by grade, not allowing wet veneer to get in the loads. Once the load is complete you will mark the load and have a forklift operator to pick it up. This position requires standing for long periods of time, repetitive movements, walking up and down walkway to monitor loads of veneer and mark loads according to grade. The new hire must be able to read and write in English. New hires must also be able to climb ladders and unplug dryer when necessary.
