Furniture Upholstery Shop Hiring an Upholstery Assistant! Main duties would include: going on pick-ups and deliveries to customer homes stripping furniture to prepare it for re-upholstery cutting foam to size for cushions, chair seats etc. re-webbing chair seats minor repair work on furniture frames helping customers load and unload furniture at the shop some light cleaning Musts: must be able to lift and carry heavy pieces of furniture must have a driver's license, clean driving record, and a reliable way to get to work must be able to drive a cargo van as well as a 12ft box truck must be comfortable with power tools must speak English and be able to converse with customers (bilingual English & Spanish would be ideal) Upholstery experience a plus, but not required so long that you are willing/interested to learn. Job is part-time 3+ days a week from 8am-4:30pm, but hours are slightly flexible Starting pay is $13/hr with potential to go full-time We are looking for someone who will fit in well with our experienced and talented crew, who will be reliable, can take direction, and is interested in learning the trade of upholstery.
