The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Motor Grader Finish Operator to work at our Colorado Springs location. The Motor Grader Finish Operator performs all functions as it pertains to operating grader used to bring the site to the correct elevation per contract We are a unique, 100-year-old family-owned company that transforms our recycled products into construction materials, lightweight aggregates, asphalt, cement, concrete, agricultural products, and more. We provide steel mill services, flame cutting and treatment, road building, logistics, laboratory testing, and a variety of other solutions for our customers. Responsibilities The Motor Grader Finish Operator will: Comply with all safety regulations, policies and record keeping Places asphalt at the correct grade and slope, according to job specifications. Grades area to specifications Inspects grade and elevations correctly Maintains density and stability of grade Monitor any change in machine performance to identify potential malfunctions Perform daily machine inspection and routine greasing, oiling and fueling Meet customer service expectations Skills The ideal candidate will have: Ability to lift up to 50lbs Basic Mechanical aptitude. Ability to read stakes and check grades Ability to operate grade checking equipment Minimum 3 years paving experience Good verbal and written communication skills.
