ISO Polyphia, Intervals, MDB style guitarist

Meets

Clayton NC

Description

I am a lead/rhythm guitar player 26 years old that has really gotten into that progressive metal/rock over the past couple years so I’d like to find another guitarist who would be up for the same thing playing between both lead/rhythm. I’ve been playing guitar my whole life and music is my life so I would love to put songs together and post them online. This would be mainly for fun, not trying to hit it big. I have a full time career that I cannot commit to touring. If we ever decide to play shows out of town I’d be down to take some time off for it but I can’t do month long tours. Ideally it’d be nice to make a name for ourselves online/locally with our music and if everything works out to where it’s worth our time to travel lightly, I can do that. Also due to my job as stated before this is mainly for fun meaning we may not get together every week depending on my work schedule. A little bit about me. I’ve grown up a hard rock/metal head. Very big in the metalcore/djenty scene and have played in bands locally and played shows. Im not no audio engineer but I do produce my own music and riffs on my computer as well as lay bass lines and program drums. At the moment I’m more interested in the jammy groovy stuff like the bands listed in the title Polyphia, Modern Day Babylon, Intervals, Novelists (I know they’re not instrumental but their riffs are damn good). Stuff that people from different backgrounds can get into. Nice rhythm with catchy hooks and leads. Those bands are my influences but I’d really like to do more of Polyphia style groovy riffs and songs. Maybe even throw riffs over beats like they do cause that shit does sound nice. I do have practice space at my house but I live in Clayton so depends on where you are or how far you’re willing to drive. If you’re looking to just have some fun and put some nice grooves together then hit me up!
