When I was young whenever I was passionate about learning a new instrument it was quickly squandered by a hard learning curve and boring teachers that turned music into homework, literally. My approach is much different. Unlike most music teachers, I aim for you or your child to reach a point where I am no longer needed. I want to be a helping hand in learning the basics and teaching you to teach yourself. Your musical adventure should be lead by you. Let's learn your favorite song and work from there. I know shortcuts to get you playing quick and enjoying exploring your music adventure. I focus on sustaining your passion and interest, while providing an easy learning experience that is immediately rewarding and exciting. Music should be fun and driven by curiosity and exploration. Not learning Mary had a little lamb, or hot crossed buns. My program is usually 3 to 5 months depending on your progress. This is NOT a mundane, structured, one size fits all lesson plan. Usually tutors will have you come back for 2+ years and are happy to take your money. In these modern times that is completely unnecessary. In the next few months you will easily learn your instruments anatomy, how to tune, how to play, how to read tabs so you can learn any song, how to maintain your instrument, and other techniques and resources for teaching yourself. With a firm understanding of the basics you will be surprised at how quickly you'll be able to carry on by yourself. I have been playing Bass, Guitar and Drums for 15 years and have invested more money than I care to admit in pro audio gear, much of which you will get to learn on. Guitar is a lot more than just strings, I teach my students about guitar pedals, effects, amps, tone, and all the confusing lingo that accompanies music gear. All lessons will be Covid compliant and can take place outdoors if you wish. Guitars are provided but you are welcome to bring your own. I do not do online lessons as it's very hard to learn that way. Acoustic guitar lessons $35 Electric guitar/bass lessons $40 (I bring a portable amplifier and top of the line, rare guitar pedals to electric lessons)
