ALOHA!!!! Local Surf Shop/School located at the Virginia Beach, Oceanfront NOW hiring ALL instructor positions in our Surf, Kayak, and Stand Up Paddleboard divisions. Starting pay range will be depending upon experience with room for immediate growth. Self-motivated, organized and a flexible schedule is a must. We offer paid training. P/T hours to start with possible growth to F/T. Must be able to work weekends and holidays, is a must!! Free Surf, Paddleboard, Kayak Lessons & Rentals, plus other perks! Best job in the world! ACA certification (or equivalent), and CPR & first aid is a plus but not required. **Surf Instructors: Basic Surfers Knowledge and Skills required. Will be responsible for: - Helping set the beach up and breaking down - Maintaining equipment, including cleaning equipment after every tour. - Checking customers in for lesson - Helping teach land portion of surf lessons - In water teaching of students; including pushing into waves, wave selection etc. **Kayak and Paddleboard Instructors: Basic paddle knowledge and skills required. Knowledge of Owls Creek, The Narrows and Oceanfront water ways is a plus but not required. Will be responsible for: - Checking in and out every day at the shop. - Driving company vehicle and trailer. - Maintaining equipment, including cleaning equipment after every tour. - Leading tour groups Excellent customer service skills a must!
