Description

Certified instructors and attorney led class covering gun safety, pistol handling, deadly force shooting and firearms related legal issues. Class is led by certified and insured NRA instructors in additional to a licensed attorney. Material covered will include gun safety, pistol handling, defensive shooting, deadly force, and legal issues related to carrying a weapon in public. Class will consist of 3 hours of lecture instruction and 4 hours of live fire drills designed to make you more comfortable and effective with your defensive handgun. This course greatly exceeds the Colorado state requirements for a concealed weapons permit. Class is normally $150 but we are giving everyone $25 off for the first class of the season it’s $125 and that covers all costs except ammunition or pistol rental. We have limited space available and it’s first come first serve, so get your tickets to reserve your spot asap. Students will need to bring: 1. Appropriate Dress: the classroom portion at the T-Bar’s outdoor patio and the live fire portion is outside wind or rain, so dress for Rocky Mtn. weather. Cool in the morning and warm mid-day or the reverse. It is Colorado. Sunscreen and good sturdy shoes are also very beneficial. Anything else you would like to bring for your own comfort. 2. Food and Drink: You can order breakfast or lunch off of the T-Bar’s menu, if you would like. If not make sure you have a sack lunch, beverage and snacks for the afternoon portion. There will not be a lunch break after the lecture portion. We go straight to the range for the live-fire portion. 3. Defensive Tools: You may bring your own unloaded pistol and 100 rounds of ammunition. We have pistols available for $25.00 rental and ammunition for purchase at cost, which is currently about $50.00 for 100 rounds. 4. Accessories: A holster if you have one, 2 to 3 magazines, and items related to the topic of firearms that you may have questions about. Do not go out and purchase a holster just for class, a pair of pants with a good pocket will work just fine. However, you will get far more out of the class if you have extra magazines and highly recommend their purchase prior to the class. 5. Safety Gear: Corrective glasses are sufficient for eye protection. A quality set of ear protectors, a cheap pair can get quite uncomfortable after a few hours. Protective clothing, we are dealing with hot metal and sharp edges. LADIES, do not wear a low cut or backless top. Those are bad places to catch a piece of ejected brass. 6. Transportation: Class will start at the T-Bar in Wellington. Please arrive at the T-Bar by 8:45 am. We have a ton of stuff to cover and will start promptly at 9 am. After lecture we will all drive as a group to a private range east of Wellington. The terrain is a little hard and a car can make it, but a truck or SUV is a better option if you have access. If you need a ride let us know before class and we can coordinate as needed. 7. Please bring an open mind and a good attitude and be ready to learn a lot and push your comfort level a bit! It’ll be a fun, action packed day learning how to run your firearm more efficiently and helping you learn a lot about carrying responsibly in public. Please feel free to ask any questions at (970)402-5028 or [email protected] and we will respond. We look forward to seeing you in class!
