WHOW Walk (Whole Healthy Living) WHOW is hosting a Walk to promote the health of women in the community. Women Helping Other Women (WHOW) was created to empower women to improve their economic status through education, employment, and entrepreneurship. With so many stressful issues affecting our country including, COVID deaths, loss of jobs/income, and racial tension, we feel it is necessary to have a positive stress relief outlet. Walking and exercise is considered a natural cannabis as it releases feel-good endorphins that help to alleviate stress. In a hope to improve the health of the women so that they can continue to live out our mission we are hosting the First Annual WHOW Walk. WHOW Walk Theme: Whole Healthy Living Date: 06/12/2021 Time: 9am-12pm Location: Hicks Park 3443 S Mingo Rd, Tulsa, OK 74146 Registration is free for walkers: www.whownetwork.org/walk Vendors are $50 per booth(does not include table and Chairs) additional $10 for table and 2 chairs. We currently host events helping individuals to improve the economic status of low-income families. The program is offered to all individuals, but our target are women between the ages of 18 and 45 who are receiving public assistance, low income, pregnant or teenage mothers, or women who have been previously incarcerated. Our programs are designed to provide resources and encourage economic growth, bring self-awareness, direction, and improve self-esteem & confidence. We help participants to create life plans, set goals, budgets, and business plans and much more for free. Some of our community partners includes: Dress for Success, SCORE, City of Tulsa Parks, and BWBOA. We are in search of Sponsors, Donations, and or in-kind gifts, to help us to promote our mission and healthy lives in our community.
