Paver Screed Roller Operators

We're looking for Paver Screed Roller Operators! Previous experience with asphalt, highway work, and paving is preferred but not required. Previous experience with seal coating would be exceptional. Duties Operate paving machine and/or screed used for applying asphalt to road beds, parking lots, airport runways and taxiways, driveways, and other areas per customer requirements. Operate asphalt paver/screed within designated area with attention to detail and emphasis on craftsmanship. Make normal adjustments for obtaining proper depth, grade, and finished cross section of asphalt material via screed controls. Oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to the equipment as needed. Possess thorough understanding of all aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction, and other details related to asphalt paving. Requirements Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly all day long and 80 lbs. occasionally. Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours a day Must be able to use a shovel and maintain a fast pace Intermittent out of town travel is required. It is not frequent but it does occur. Details Schedule is Monday through Friday from 7 am until 5 pm usually. There is required overtime to complete the job. Pay is $15-16 per hour and the position is temp-to-hire. When you work hard and prove yourself they will bring you on to their pay roll. There are opportunities to work on prevailing wage jobs as well.
