Before anyone goes HEY...A BASS PLAYER! Here's the deal....I've been out of the whole band situation for the most part of the last 10 years. I'm sure after a few practices the cobwebs will fall off but will take some patience. I've worked with both male and female singers....no issues actually preferred the diversity of working with a female singer! I'm into simple 4 chord bar covers (Tush, Born To Be Wild, Roadhouse Blues, Simple Man)...you get the idea! If you wanna do Rush, Kansas and all those complex opus deals I ain't the guy! I have a set up in my basement that includes my bass rig (one of them) guitar stack, drum set that's probably better than most drummers actually have, PA system but it's got to be cleared out and cleaned up. If I come to you I don't do anything outside of Saint Peters or O'Fallon, maybe downtown St. Charles if I'm in a good mood...so there's that. Prefer something new. That way we all get our input in and start from ground 0. If you've got a deal that's been together for 5 years and you know 150 songs and have 15 gigs booked and are looking for someone to jump in with charts and all...I aint the guy! If you are still reading and haven't written me off as "what a Dick" here's some good news! I have gear, transportation, clean & sober, pick up songs pretty quick, have a nice rehearsal place AND want to do originals as in 80s style. Some may also consider it a PLUS that I am not looking for something that's already to go and gig a week later.....so there's that. So...can't say I'm not honest! Lol.
