Description
We are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to ensure the company’s established standards for all physical assets including safety, appearance, and all maintenance operations of the property, within the budgeted financial goals. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Tech will ensure the high standards for the ground, community areas and overall curb appeal for the property. The daily responsibilities of the role will vary, depending on the needs of the community. This role will regularly interact with residents, so excellent customer service and a professional appearance are vital to this role. Position Duties • Support the maintenance and conditions of all physical assets of the property, including safety, appearance, and all maintenance operations • Ensure the high standards are met or exceeded for the community, at the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager • Provide suggestions for opportunities for improvement and efficiency • Support the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring a safe environment for staff and residents • Identify and resolve issues or problems that may arise at the community pertaining to the physical assets of the building and property • Perform quarterly preventative maintenance inspections • Ensure maintenance vehicles and equipment are kept clean and maintained properly, to maximize lifespan • Execute work and repairs “in-house” and find other ways to reduce the property’s expenses. • Work with leasing office on scheduling service requests and other maintenance work to maximize resident satisfaction • Participate in company training classes and meetings as required; keep all necessary insurances and licenses up to date • Complete move-out/move-in “make-readies” • Follow all code, legal, OSHA, and compliance statutes Preferred Skills • At least 2 years of related work experience; strong preference for experience in student housing or residential properties in the past • Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for opportunities for improvement • Strong customer services skills and a “no job too small” mentality • CPO (Certified Pool Operator)
