MARTIN YAN IS COMING TO CHINATOWN FOR API MONTH We are honored to have Chef Martin Yan, host of the wildly popular PBS show, Yan Can Cook join us as we kick off API month for the Chinatown Merchants Association sponsored Walkway Weekends! The world renowned Chinese American chef and food writer will offer a live cooking demonstration on the 700 block of Grant Ave. at 1:50PM on Saturday, May 1. He will be introduced by Norman Lau’s LionDanceMe crew of lion dancers! It is guaranteed to be a very festive, entertaining event! Yan is also a prolific writer, having written numerous cookbooks on Chinese cuisine. pre-pandemic, Martin was a frequent traveler to Asia, leading cooking while traveling tours, educating and entertaining all those who joined him!
