REDMOND, WA — Neighbors are invited to Redmond High School on Saturday to offload old electronics during a recycling event. The event, hosted by Living Green Technology and the high school's PTSA, will accept a wide variety of items for free, and only televisions will incur a fee of $10. Organizers said they cannot accept household batteries, light bulbs, refrigerators, or large household appliances. However, there is a long list of accepted items: Desktops & MonitorsLaptopsVideo games & systemsMobile Phones & TabletsDVDsPower ToolsTVs ($10 each)ServersCables, Software & AccessoriesModems & RoutersOffice PhonesTelecom SystemsPrinters and Ink TonersSaturday's event is expected to be popular, with nearly 1,400 people marked as interested on Facebook. How to attend: Redmond High School (17272 Northeast 104th Street)Saturday, April 2410 a.m. - 2 p.m. According to organizers, all hard drives will be wiped according to Department of Defense standards to protect personal data. Visitors dropping off iPhones or iPad are encouraged to delete their iCloud data and restore factory settings so their devices can be safely reused.
