First annual Punching Parkinson’s Youth Boxing event hosted by North Port Boxing Club with Kiwanis of North Port and KIA of Port Charlotte The first annual Punching Parkinson’s Youth Boxing event hosted by North Port Boxing Club in partnership with Kiwanis of North Port and Kia of Port Charlotte and sanctioned by USA Boxing is schedule to take place Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 1:00 – 9:00pm at the Morgan Family Community Center Gymnasium. The purpose of this event to promote youth boxing and bring awareness to the benefits of the sport. The event is schedule to have 30 bouts, of various ages and weight classes. The anticipated attendance of this event it 400 people through the day. COVID Precaution will be in place, seated will be spread out to accommodate physically distance, hand sanitizer stations and restrooms are located through the facility. Face covering will be encouraged. A 24’ x 24’ ring will be set up in the MFCC Gymnasium, seating will be available in small groups and spaces 6ft from other groupings.
