Press release from the City of Arlington: April 20, 2021 A sign that spring has arrived are the patches of lovely bluebonnets in bloom across the Lone Star State. Bluebonnet season is typically late March through early April. If it's been a warm winter, the bluebonnets can bloom early and if there's been a lot of late freezes, the bluebonnets will usually be late. Texas experienced historic cold temperatures in 2021 so we are still seeing some later blooms. For many, taking pictures with the state flower is a family tradition. Luckily, Arlington residents don't have to travel far from home to find a safe location for the perfect picture. Bluebonnets and other wildflowers can be found in public parks across The American Dream City! 5 Parks to see Bluebonnets: River Legacy Park – located at 701 Northwest Green Oaks Boulevard Randol Mill Park – located at 1901 W.
