Lend your hand at the North Park Montessori bioswale during this maintenance day where we will weed and tidy up a native plant garden Grab your trowel and gloves and come help LGROW with the spring maintenance of one of our green infrastructure installations. This 1400 square foot bioswale installed at North Park Montessori School, funnels stormwater runoff from the road to filter out pollutants and absorb stormwater before it has a chance to enter into Lamberton Creek, a tributary to the Grand River. This garden was constructed in 2017 through a grant from the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. The bioswale is located on Elmdale St NE at the corner of Eastern Ave. NE.
