Full Job Description: Weatherization Technician & Direct Installer Weatherization technician works along side a building scientist & residential energy efficiency professional examines the energy efficiency and health & safety of a building and identifies areas for savings by gathering field data, conducting test and using energy modeling software, in order to reduce the energy consumption, improve the safety of occupants and increase the lifespan of a building while improving the quality of life and comfort of the occupants. Essential Duties: • Conduct home energy audits in residential homes for income eligible clients throughout Arkansas & Louisiana; entering attics, basements, crawl spaces and living spaces. • Conduct Pre & Post QCI (Quality Control Inspection) Audits in compliance with Best Practices and Weatherization Program Rules and Regulations. • Conduct combustion safety testing and infrared scanning to evaluate existing conditions and recommend energy efficiency improvements. • Interact with homeowners, tenants and contractors regarding energy efficiency. For each property prepare detailed and accurate work orders to complete each audit. • Promote and encourage the adoption of energy-saving measures recommended in the home energy assessment. Requirements: -Valid DL - Ability to pass written test & field exams - Excellent written, verbal and customer service skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, Outlook) **To perform this job successfully you must be able to work independently and as a team member. Also be willing to travel.
