This story was updated at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 23. HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Any New Jersey resident aged 16 and up became eligible for the coronavirus vaccine this past Monday. On Friday, a CDC Panel recommended resuming the Johnson & Johnson vaccine after reviewing reports of 13 women getting blood clots — three fatal — out of 7.98 million receiving the shot. Where to get the vaccine this week On Friday, the county of Hudson said that a site at Jersey City's Lincoln Park would be available for walkups. Any county resident is eligible. Residents can use this site: http://www.hobokennj.gov/vaccinesignup In a story on Hoboken's CERT volunteers, they revealed several phone numbers for seniors and others who need help. More here. Better Life Pharmacy in Hoboken has had signs out front all week offering the site. Also, this month, the state unveiled a new appointment tracker for residents. Chains like CVS, Walgreens Walmart, Sam's Club, Rite Aid, and ShopRite have been offering the shot. It's worth checking the sites several times daily, including early in the morning.
