Our company, Troy Construction, is a small construction firm that specializes in additions, kitchen, bath, and whole home remodeling. We are looking for a qualified carpenter with knowledge of basic building skills and the ability to perform tasks related to residential construction and remodeling projects. The carpenter will be working with a crew and under the direction of the Foreman. Our ideal candidate will display the following qualities and skills: • Punctual • Ability to follow instructions • Work with a crew as a team • Work independently, when necessary • Good communication skills • Positive attitude • Knowledge of basic construction skills • Proper use of basic hand and power tools, including ability to install nails and fasteners • Knowledge of common building materials and their applications • Basic knowledge of how to build plumb, level, and square • Ability to climb, crawl, and lift material commonly used in building projects • Work safely Experienced Carpenter Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Demolition and site work • Work with crew to assist with layout of the project site, including building forms under the direction of the supervisor • Frame floors, walls, and roofs for additions or remodel projects • Install windows and doors • Install siding and exterior trim work • Cabinet installation • Knowledge of electrical and plumbing, to assist crew during its installation • Installation of baseboard, interior window and door trim, crown molding, and other interior details Additional Requirements: • 3+ years experience • Good physical condition • Must have valid CA drivers license and reliable transportation • Possess and maintain basic tools for the job (basic hand tools, tool belt, etc) • No drug or alcohol issues * Please send your resume and any other additional skills you may have *Hours of Operation are 7:30am-4:00pm, but schedule changes may apply depending on the project site *Full time work *Compensation determined by skill level and experience
