PITTSBURGH, PA — After a year when too many traditions have had to be canceled for coronavirus safety, summer camps for kids are back on this year. The state has issued updated guidance on how these camps can safely operate during the coronavirus pandemic.
There are several options to keep the kids busy this summer around Pittsburgh, including town-sponsored camps, arts camps, sports camps and more.

JCC Pittsburgh: Offers Performing Arts Camp and a variety of specialty camps such as Band Camp, Basketball Camp and Outdoor Explorations Venture Outdoors Camp.Pittsburgh Musical Theater Summer Camp: For young artists ages 4 - 18, the camp offers training in acting, voice, dance, and technical theater.Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History: A camp where kids mask up and wander among real dinosaurs, be encouraged to make a mess, paint with artists, or conduct their own scientific experiments.Carnegie Science Center: Offers a variety of camps that focus on topics such as astronomy, art, chemistry, LEGO bricks and technology.Pittsburgh Cultural Trust: Budding artists can learn something new or explore their favorite art forms.National Aviary: Through guided learning sessions, interactive activities, and up-closeencounters, campers will explore the adaptations that make birds so extraordinary.
