Job Description: Lead Carpenter Angell Construction is looking to hire a skilled Lead Carpenter with knowledge of various carpentry techniques. All Lead Carpenters are directly responsible for the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of the team. Layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures, fixtures, and buildings. Other duties will include designing, cutting, and measuring materials according to a client's requirements. A successful applicant should be hardworking, reliable, and have good communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities: Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Assisting Project Manager with structural design, planning, layout, and installation. Conduct repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures as required. Other duties will include designing, cutting, and measuring materials according to a client's requirements. Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials. Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment. Compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations. Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects. Responsible for the production of projects in accordance to the plans and specifications. Keep informed of the entire project scope including revisions, change orders, changes to the scope of work and the schedule. Order construction materials as needed. Inform the Project Manager of specialty items needed. Be able to problem solve without the direction of superiors. Provide excellent customer service. Requirements: Applicant should have at least five years of carpentry experience and have a thorough understanding of rough, finish carpentry, and all trades associated with home remodeling. Good communication skills. Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination. Knowledge of mathematics.
