We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for a 144 unit complex located in the Lakewood area. These are the duties that we are looking for experience in: Unit turns- repairing cabinets, closet tracks, latches, hinges, knobs, towel bars, bathroom vanity's etc. changing locks light plumbing leaks/troubleshooting source of leak light electrical-replacing light fixtures, heaters, outlets replacing water heaters (usually an emergency) painting vacant units, walls, trim cabinets etc. Light cleaning of items that need to be cleaned prior to work being able to be done. (We have cleaning vendors for the turns) Unit work orders- (assisting maintenance supervisor when needed) clogged garbage disposals clogged toilets, sinks, tubs drains etc. leaky faucets, shower heads etc. Anything a Resident can break, those are the things we have to repair Light Appliance repair, knobs, burners, heat elements and broken handles. No Major Appliance repair required but would be handy. Grounds- Daily walk of the grounds, parking, front door entries, landscaping, pick up garbage, report issues to Manager or maintenance supervisor. Vacuum necessary areas daily when needed as well as cleaning restrooms and gym periodically. Following up with Manager on all repairs and work needed or completed on site. We have a pool we need help with at times, pool experience is a huge plus but not required. This is a small property that requires you to have the emergency phone half the time. There are not very many emergencies that come up. (Maybe 1-2 a month, Fire, Flood or Blood Emergencies) Requirements- Honest, motivated to work, able to communicate with Residents and other Employee's. Daily brief meeting to discuss work for the day. You need to be on time to work, checking in with Manager or Supervisor when arriving, going to lunch, leaving to get parts and leaving for the day. You need to be accountable for the things you are getting done and do the things you are asked to do. We are not asking for too much here, just an honest day’s work. Background check and drug test required. Looking to hire as soon as we find the right person. Pay is depending on level of experience. Medical/dental/vision after 60 days.
