RIVERSIDE, IL — A La Grange man stopped for speeding in Riverside on Thursday was found with cocaine, meth and marijuana, police said. Dezhawn D. Seargent, 27, of La Grange, was arrested on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, aggravated speeding, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with a revoked license. About 4 a.m., a Riverside officer clocked Seargent speeding 66 mph in a 35 mph zone near First Avenue and 31st Street, according to a police news release. After an officer tried to pull him over, he continued going straight, slowing down to 15 mph, police said. Then he stopped at First and Golfview Road. Seargent told the officer he did not have a driver's license. The officer checked and found Seargent's license has been revoked for DUI convictions, according to the release. While preparing Seargent's car to be towed, the officer found the drugs, police said. When asked about the narcotics, Seargent said, "I don't need to tell you anything. You already know that I have some coke and molly on me," according to the news release. "Molly" is a slang term for ecstasy, often mixed with other drugs.
