Press release from the City of Joliet: Illinois Department of Transportation intends to implement 2-way traffic on Cass Street in downtown Joliet on a temporary basis to offer relief from the Jefferson Street bridge closure. They are targeting Saturday May 1st for the switch. Once implemented Cass Street will be two way from Hickory Street to Joliet Street. The City asks citizens to be cautious as they adjust to new traffic patterns. More updates will be forthcoming as we approach the May 1st transition date.
