Press release from the City of Mentor: April 21, 2021 Join Our Team at Mentor Pools! Are you a strong swimmer? Do you have a passion for aquatics? Do you possess a commitment to action, leadership, and service? The City of Mentor is looking for responsible, dedicated applicants to join our team. Lifeguards protect our patrons and prevent injury or loss of life through water rescue and prevention techniques. You'll be required to perform rule enforcement, maintenance and facility upkeep, activity reporting, and ongoing participation in staff training. Applicants must possess a valid American Red Cross (or similar) Lifeguarding Training Certification, CPR for Professional Rescuers Certification & First Aid. Employment runs from May through August and requires a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week including afternoon, evening and weekend hours. The positions pays $9.25 per hour.
