Press release from Fountaindale Public Library District: Melissa April 23, 2021 El Día de los Niños/El Día de los Libros (Children's Day/Book Day), commonly known as Día, is a nationally recognized celebration that emphasizes the importance of literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds. It is a commitment to linking children and their families to the world of books while nurturing cognitive and literacy development in ways that honor and embrace a child's home language and culture. Even though we are not able to gather in person this year, we're still celebrating with a week of fun! Visit the Children's Services Desk during the week of April 25 to pick up a Take-It Make-It craft kit celebrating a different country and culture each day, while supplies last!
