MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN POSITION Position Summary : The Maintenance Technician supports the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining overall appearance and working order. The Maintenance Technician position requires overall maintenance knowledge and trouble shooting ability with skills in painting, HVAC, carpentry, equipment, and tool usage. This position requires a strong attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively and the demonstrated ability to bend, lift, stand and walk for extended periods of time. Essential Functions: Respond to work orders from Property Manager. Perform duties of a groundskeeper. Complete work order requests in a timely manner. Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs. Respond to emergencies on scheduled on-call basis. Assist Housekeeping department as needed. Follow all company, safety and security policies and procedures. Ensure professional appearance at all times. All other duties as assigned. Job Specifications: Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team! Demonstrated ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. Physical Demands : Must be able to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull and move continuously during work hours. Must be to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 (fifty) pounds. Qualifications : High School Diploma or GED. Three years maintenance experience preferred.
