We will do clean, upbeat 60's songs. The current group consists of drums, bass, keyboard/guitar. We are seeking a person that can do lead guitar and sing well. Drummer and bass players are pro. Everyone sings. Please read the ad through carefully before responding to make sure this is a fit for you. Songs from artists such as: The Association, BEATLES, Beach Boys, Byrds, Chad and Jeremy, Dave Clark 5, Del Shannon, Gary and the Playboys, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Herman's Hermits, Lovin Spoonful, Monkees, Peter and Gordon, The Seekers, Zombies, Motown. You get the idea; clean and mostly upbeat but not limited to this list of artists. Open to songs that you like in this framework charter and genre. What do you like? Age and gender does not matter but a sincere interest in clean, upbeat 60's songs is. So what does "clean" mean? We will not do songs with lyrics that are explicit about sex, drugs or immoral behaviour; example: The Animals "It's My Life" is a song about guy wanting to take advantage of women and their money and has the lyric "I'm going to ride the serpent". Clear enough? If such lyrics are acceptable to you then you are not a fit. Looking for people with good character as a good fit. While we will be gig ready in a couple of months we are not seeking a mercenary that wants to show up once and gig. If you don't want to put in a couple of months of sessions before gigging do not contact us.
