Description
We are looking for help with sanding small wooden products that we manufacture. If you have a small woodworking shop at home and have an electric sander, then this could be a good, fairly consistent side gig for you.
The most common pieces are around 4" x 3" and made of 0.25" plywood. We laser cut the products, and then we sand off the burn marks on both sides using a small handheld electric sander. We average sanding around 1 piece per minute, can pay $0.50 per piece, and are currently averaging 150-200 pieces per month. So in total, we expect the pay will be around $75 - $100 per month for roughly 3 hours of sanding (varying some based on your speed and our sales).
This work would be done on a contract basis. We'd arrange for you to stop by our warehouse in Grand Junction every 2-4 weeks or so to drop off a finished batch and pick up a new non-finished batch. If we don't find anyone local enough to stop by our warehouse regularly, then we can consider mailing back and forth.
