Northern Virginia’s #1 Custom Glass Company is Expanding Dulles Glass is looking for Manufacturing Technicians to fill the production needs of our new plant coming to your area. Dulles Glass and Mirror, a well-established, mid-size, high-end full-service glass and mirror fabricator that has been serving the DC metro community for over 20 years, is looking for a highly motivated and detailed oriented individual to join our family as a Glass Manufacturing Technician. This is a multi-functional position. Successful candidates will need an eagerness to learn, and flexible to changing work areas as needed. Extensive in house paid training will be provided to help you grow and jump start a great career. JOB DESCRIPTION Glass Technician associates will be assigned to various positions within the fabrication process based on production requirements. Extensive paid training will be provided prior to starting, based on the assigned role within the production process. Opportunities for growth. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ● Responsible for completing daily production schedules, and following policies and procedures, ensuring the best possible Safety, Quality, and accuracy per manufacturing standards. ● Accurate sorting, and staging glass as required before moving to next area ● Inspect glass after processes for accuracy, or for any error prior to placing it on the finished rack.. ● Maintaining daily general maintenance, regular cleaning, and repair of the machine. ● Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and ensure any necessary changes to produce improved results. ● Check machinery daily to ensure proper functionality. ● Ensure that results of the machining process align with company expectations. ● Report all machine actions and abnormalities to the supervisor. ● Maintain a clean, and safe work environment. Ensuring safe disposal of damaged glass, keeping the work area floor, walkway, desks, and surfaces clean and organized. ● Maintain, clean, and organize all glass cutoff racks for proper staging. ● Participate in all job functions required, including additional help when needed. ● Regular cleaning and assisting repair of machines as well as general light maintenance. ● Flexible and responsive to changes in the production schedule as required. ● Other duties as assigned. SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS WANTED ● Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, and up to 150 pounds assisted ● Work well in a team environment ● Ability to work in a fast pace high demand environment ● Prior experience in glass industry is a plus, but not required (paid training will be provided) ● Spanish Speaking is a Plus – Not required.
